List of Pro Kabaddi League Winners From Past to Present– Pro Kabaddi League is well abbreviated as PKL and it’s one of the most popular games among the youth of India. The PKL becomes “Vivo Pro Kabaddi League” and here on this page we are going to disucss about all pro kabaddi league winners from season 1 to 8 year wise and with images.

The very first season of Pro Kabaddi League was aired on Star Sports & Star Gold in 2014. The format of the show is taken from the popular cricket league we all know about yes, its’ Indian Premier League (IPL). The owner of the show is “Mashal Sports” a company which was co-founded by Mr. Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group and Mr. Charu Sharma, who is also a director of Mashal Sports. The first auction of PKL 8 teams was held on 20th May 2014 at Mumbai.

Total 8 teams participated in first 4 seasons but from season 5 total 12 teams participate in the show. In 3rd season of pro kabaddi which was held in January-February 2016 The COO of Star India, Mr. Sanjay Gupta confirmed that Star Sports Pro Kabaddi wants to make Pro Kabaddi, a 5-week event, happen 10 weeks a year by having two editions a year. The idea is to play the tournament once in January–February 2016 and once in June–July 2016 and therefore 3rd season was played in February and 4 season finale is schedule on 31st July. Pro Kabaddi League 2021 Season 8 Winner – Dabang Delhi

After the COVID-19 pandemic the pro kabaddi league is back in 2021 with it’s season 8. The 8th season started in 22nd December 2021 with little change in format which was travelling caravan changed to a single venue hosting all the matches of the season.  Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bangalore was initially announced as the venue, but was later changed to the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Convention Center located in Whitefield, Bangalore.

Patna Pirates and Dabang Delhi reached in grand finale of pro kabaddi league and we all have new winner of Pro Kabaddi League this time Dabang Delhi won the title of Pro Kabaddi League Winner while Patna Pirates becomes the first runner of the game show. Naveen Kumar of Delhi made history by winning 2 back to back MVP awards.

Pro Kabaddi League 2019 Season 7 Winner – Bengal Warriors

The seventh edition of the show is back in 2019 with 12 teams. The format of the show was little change as each team will play against all the other teams twice and top 6 teams qualify for playoff. The top 2 teams will automatically make the semi finals while the remaining four will battle it out in eliminators. Dabang Delhi and Bengal Warriors emerged as the winners in the semi finals and qualified to the final for the first time.

The finale was really very interesting and won by the Bengal Warriors for the first by the margin of 39-34. They lift up the trophy and also won the cash prize of the winning team. 

Pro Kabaddi League 2018 Season 6 Winner – Bengaluru Bulls

Pro Kabaddi League is back in 2018 with its another edition and this time it was won by the Bengaluru Bulls. Bengaluru Bulls was the topper of Zone B while the Zone A toppers was Gujarat Fortune Giants. It was second time whne Gujarat Fortune Giants qualify for the finale but they could not make it successful win they lost the game and Bengaluru Bulls won the title and beat Gujarat by 38-33.

Pro Kabaddi League 2017 Season 5 Winner – Patna Pirates

The season 5 of Pro Kabaddi League is back in 2015 but it was for the first time when 12 teams participated in the game show and these teams are as follows;

  • UP Yoddha – Uttar Prades
  • Tamil Nadu – Tamil Thalaiyas
  • Haryana – Haryana Steelers
  • Gujarat – Gujarat Fortune Giants

The show started from 28th July 2017 as for the first time there were total 12 teams so it becomes the biggest league tournament of its kind in the history of Indian sports. Total 38 matches were play across a time period of 13 weeks and across 11 states.

The former winning team Patna Pirates qualify for the finale and Gujarat Fortune Giants also qualify for the finale for the first time Patna Pirates defeated Gujarat Fortune Giants by 55-38 in the grand finale.

Once again Patna Pirates life up the trophy of Pro Kabaddi League Season 4. In the grand finale Patna Pirates defeated Jaipur Pink Panthers by 8 points and become the first team of PKL to won the trophy twice. Congratulation to Patna Pirates on their consecutive winning of PKL trophy.

The 3rd season was aired from 31st January 2016 to 05th March 2016 and this time Pro Kabaddi got its new winner this time “Patna Pirates” won the title and cash prize of Rs. 1 Crore and this time U Mumba was the runner up team and they got the cash prize of Rs. 50 Lakh.

The runner up team of Pro Kabaddi is once again qualify for the final match and this time they become the emerge winner of Pro Kabaddi 2015 season 2. The second season was schedule from 18th July 2015 to August 23rd 2015. In the final match of PKL U Mumba defeated Begaluru Bulls by 6 Points the final score of the match was U Mumba (36 points) Bengaluru Bulls (30 points).

In season 2 of Pro Kabaddi the prize money is increased Rs. 50 Lakh to Rs. 1 Crore and the winning team U Mumba took the trophy as well as won the cash prize of Rs. 1 Crore.

The very first season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) was won by the Jaipur Pink Panthers the final match was played at National Sports Club of India, Mumbai. In the finale match Jaipur Pink Panthers defeated U Mumba by 11 points margin. The final score of the match was Jaipur (35 points) and U Mumba (24 points). The cash prize for season 1 of Pro Kabaddi was Rs. 50 Lakh which is taken by the winner team as well as they took trophy with them.
