Bigg Boss Malayalam is an non-scripted reality tv game show produced by Endemol Shine India, later owned by Banijay and broadcast on Asianet. The format of the show is taken from Bigg Boss Hindi which is an adaptation of the Dutch reality TV franchise “Big Brother” developed by Endemol in the Netherland.

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 1 Winner – Sabumon (Year: 2018)
The first season the BBM was started on June 24, 2018 in which total 18 housemates participated and this show continue till 98 days. The show was hosted by famous Mallu star Mohanlal and the grand finale of the show was schedule September 30, 2018 which was won by the Sabumon while the Pearle Manney becomes the first runner up of the show.
The location of the house was Film City, Lonavala. Sabumon becomes the first winner of bigg boss malayalam and lift up the trophy alongwith the cash prize of Rs. 1 crore.

On 17 March 2020, Endemol Shine India announced that they are voluntarily suspending all their administrative and production departments until further notice due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, for minimizing the spread and to comply with the safety and precautionary measures suggested by the government. Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 3 Winner – Manikuttan (Year: 2021)
Well, the show got immense popularity in it’s every season and now they are back in 2021 with BBM 3 which was won by Manikuttan. Thomas James better known by his stage name Manikuttan or ‘MK’, is an Indian actor who prominently works in the Malayalam film industry. He is known for his role as Kayamkulam Kochunni in the famous TV serial of the same title broadcast by Surya TV in 2004.
The third season of Bigg Boss Malayalam was shoot in Film City, Chennai which was started from February 14, 2021 on valentine’s day and the grand finale of the show schedule on May 20, 2021 which was won by Manikuttan while the Sai Vishnu becomes the first runner up of the show.
Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 Winner Manikuttan lift up the trophy along with the cash prize of Rs. 75 Lakh. He defeated 17 contestants in the show Total 95 episodes were telecast on Asianet tv.
Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 4 Winner – Dilsha Prasannan (Year: 2022)
The 4th edition of Bigg Boss Malayalam was aired on tv March 27, 2022 and location of house was Film City, Mumbai. The grand finale of the show was telecast on July 3, 2022 which was won by the Dilsha Prasannan while the Muhammed Diligent Blesslee becomes the first runner up of the show.
Dilsha won the cash prize of Rs. 50 lakh and lift up the trophy as it was the fourth season of the show and it has highest number of episodes so far as total 99 episodes were telecast on tv.
Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 Winner – TBC (Year: 2023)
Season 5 of Bigg Boss Malayalam will be aired on TV on March 26, 2023 as per the varied online sources however the eye logo of the show is already released 15 February 2023. On 23 February 2023, a promo inviting commoners for audition by Airtel was released.
